Plan together. Track expenses. Settle up — without ever opening a spreadsheet.
A short trip-planning agent for groups of 2–8 travelers. It writes a calm first itinerary, watches the shared ledger as you spend, and proposes the minimum number of transfers when the trip ends.
Lighter the closer you get.
A trip should feel lighter the closer you get to it — not heavier. Every feature is measured against that line.
The story, in 60 seconds
Butter Agent started as a personal trip–planning notebook for a recurring group of friends who travel between Seoul, Tokyo, and Bangkok every spring. The shared notes app got noisy. The shared spreadsheet got hostile. The group chat became an archaeological dig.
The first version of Butter was a script that converted receipts and proposed settlements. The second version added an itinerary view that wasn’t a timetable. The current version, rebuilt as an iOS app, is what you can download today.
It is built by Peera Kerdkokaew, a software engineer, with feedback from a small circle of testers who actually use it on their trips.
